2016 Growing Season

Our CSA model has changed. In place of a prepaid subscription, this year we will send a Fresh Harvest email to announce what is ready to harvest. Vegetable and beef orders may be made by reply to this email.

Fresh Vegetables

We will have fresh vegetables from May to October and will harvest them every week or two.  Vegetables include cool weather crops such as spinach, broccoli, cabbage, beets, lettuce and greens, onions, leeks, peas, chard, potatoes, and kale.  Warm weather crops include beans, celery, cucumbers, eggplant, melons, peppers, summer squash, tomatoes,  winter squash and sweet potatoes.

Oak Hill Beef

Our new beef inventory will be ready around early August 2016.

Vegetable Transplants

Are you planning a garden this year? If so, you can get a 1-2 week head start on the harvest by planting transplants compared to direct seeding.  Oak Hill has  grown vegetable transplants for our own market gardens for the past 15 years.  We can now grow vegetable transplants to your order. Deadline for transplant orders is March 15. Details about our transplants appear in the next post from Feb. 16.
