Oak Hill Farm specializes in Angus Beef cuts,  seasonal vegetables and vegetable transplants, hydroponic lettuces, several varieties of Garlic and Sweet onions.

Oak Hill Beef. Oak Hill Angus cattle are born and raised on pasture.  Oak Hill Angus beef  is sold frozen by the cut or Beef Bundle.  Oak Hill ground beef is 90% lean.  The Beef Bundle is an assortment of ground beef, steaks and roasts. Visit our Blog for the latest Beef Cuts Order Sheet.

Oak Hill Harvest CSAFresh Vegetables. From May to October, Oak Hill raises both field grown and greenhouse grown crops. Email subscribers receive a weekly notice of vegetables ready to harvest and can place orders from the email. To sign up, contact us here. Vegetables are harvested to fill the orders. Orders may be picked up at the farm or at one of several local delivery points.  Vegetables include cool weather crops such as cabbage, beets, lettuce and greens, onions, leeks, chard, potatoes, and kale.  Warm weather crops include beans, celery, cucumbers, eggplant, melons, peppers, summer squash, tomatoes,  winter squash and sweet potatoes.

pepper transplantsGarden Transplants. Transplants are young plants ready for the garden.  They can reduce the time to harvest by 1-2 weeks compared to direct seeding a crop.  Happy, Healthy LettuceHydroponic lettuces are grown using the nutrient film technique (NFT).  Lettuce  roots are bathed in a gentle flow of nutrient-rich spring water in  a controlled greenhouse environment.

 

Spicy BeautiesGarlic. Several varieties of garlic are planted each October and harvested the following July:  French Red, Bogatyr, Music, Metechi,  Chesnok, and others. Garlic is sold as dried bulbs for eating or planting.

 
OnionOh, those "Sweet" onionss– Red and Yellow. Oak Hill harvests bulb onions in mid summer.  Known and loved locally for their sweet yet tangy, onion flavor, they lend a luscious accent to  burgers and other grilled foods, stir-fries,  and even desserts. Onions store for months.
